replacing things like suspension will probably cost more on the 5 series. yes maintenance on any german car is a bitch, but the whole trick is DONT take it to the DEALER, thats where you get ripped off—moreso on the labor than the parts. Find a good local mechanic who specializes in german cars, and the small amount you pay more in maintenance is well worth it.
